17 years old working at APPLEBEES,REDLOBSTER,ETC??!?

im turning 17 years old i live in NYC, I want to become a waitress at applebees or redlobster.. do you think it can be possible do they really just hire 18 %26amp; up?17 years old working at APPLEBEES,REDLOBSTER,ETC??!?
You have to be 18 to serve alcohol, but it's possible to still get hired. I know both those restaurants will start you out as a hostess, food runner, expo, busser, etc and then you can train as a server when you turn 18. I don't know for sure about Applebees, but Red Lobster has a somewhat-not-adhered-to policy of not starting anyone as a server. Best to get your foot in the door now and move up quickly.

Some private restaurants that serve alcohol will not hire under 18, it's a bit of a liability risk to have them even near alcohol. You just never know...."it was busy, so i made my own drink..." kinda crap. But I know Applebees and RL do hire under 18.17 years old working at APPLEBEES,REDLOBSTER,ETC??!?
You have to be 18 to serve liquor in most states I believe. If a restaurant doesn't serve liquor, they might hire at 16. But it is EXTREMELY hair to get a serving job in NYC with no experience. Your best bet may be trying to be a hostess first and then moving up into serving.17 years old working at APPLEBEES,REDLOBSTER,ETC??!?
I work at Red Lobster and they'll only hire you at 17 to be a hostess, because we serve alcohol (and you legally have to be 18 to serve it)!
