Hooking up a cb radio to the cigarrette adapter?

I just bought a midland CB radio (item#=1001z) but it didn't come with the cigarette adapter or anything just the red and black cables (I'm guessing to just hook it straight up to the battery). all i want to do is just find a cigarette plug cut it and wire it to the red and black cable. the only thing that I'm worried about is mixing up the black and red wires with the ones on the cigarette plug and frying it.



please someone help me with this i do not want to break anything or fry something.Hooking up a cb radio to the cigarrette adapter?
Ask the help from the dealer's mechanic.
