Is it a good idea to use a CB antenna for both a CB and your radio?

i know that you can buy a splitter, and run your radio and CB radio from a CB antenna, but will it work as well as having two separate ones?Is it a good idea to use a CB antenna for both a CB and your radio?
If you buy a GOOD splitter, and a GOOD antenna-and also match the antenna properly, then yes! I am using a K40 on my boat and the cb and radio work fine, I believe Firestick sells the splitter for like $20. You have to use a CB antenna not a car radio antenna. Is it a good idea to use a CB antenna for both a CB and your radio?
No reason why it should not work. Some cars in the '70s came with CB radios and only one antenna. It looked so much like a regular radio antenna, you had to look inside to see if there was a microphone hanging from the dash. Plus am/fm radios will receive very well off any kind of wire stuck out in the atmosphere. Is it a good idea to use a CB antenna for both a CB and your radio?
It should work fine, like the one guy said all you need for your car radio is a wire antenna, I have used a coat hanger before on the radio I have in my garage to listen to it and it works beautiful.
