thanksIf you touch a cb radio antenna or if it is touching anything will it blow a fuse or break anything?
It could mess with sensitive electronics.

CB radios emit a high voltage, (but low current) when transmitting. It won't hurt the CB, but if the antenna is close to something like an iPod, or laptop, it could induce enough field effect voltage to fry a chip.

Radios built after the mid-80's have circuit protection built in, so you won't "blow the finals", or damage the transmitting components.

If you have a pass-through hole to the trunk, you can put it in there. You won't be able to hear or talk more than a few hundred feet, but it works.
the aerial has nothing to do with power. If you touch a cb radio antenna or if it is touching anything will it blow a fuse or break anything?
have to take swr reading and if its too high can blow finals on transmitter/result is radio junk
The antenna tip is where your transmitted signal goes and that could pose a problem if grounded to your car. Also, the antenna must be grounded to the radio ONLY for best performance. (Simply attach it via the cable to the radio.)

Your best bet is just to get a magnet mount antenna like a Wilson 1000. That way you can put on/take off as needed. If you touch a cb radio antenna or if it is touching anything will it blow a fuse or break anything?
it won,t hurt nothing. i have a k-40 antenna on my car and i went into those underground garages and it went cling, cling, cling and no fuse blew. just don,t key the mic and you will be ok.
minor touching is not harmful
