Why do so many people believe in zodiac signs?

Hi Sarah, Good question, there are millions of gullible people in the world. 6 billion people in the world divided by 12 signs the cannot all get the same results. It is a load of tosh. all the best. RabWhy do so many people believe in zodiac signs?

the fact that you are saying that the zodiac is only based in 12 signs definetly shows you know NOTHING about astrology, therefore, you can't judge it.

I DO agree that predictions are usually false.Why do so many people believe in zodiac signs?
Just like belief in god; they WANT to believe that something they can identify as an entity (yes, including the light from a group of stars in the far-off universe) and which is the cause of all that happens, past-present and future, in their lives.

They don't realise that any particular star could be a sun(which in astronomy is called a STAR), or a nebula (contains STARS), or a galaxy (contains STARS), a double-star (self-explanatory), a binary star (self-explanatory), a globular cluster (contains STARS) etc.

They also seem to imagine each constellation as a single-plane image, when in fact each point-of light (read star) may be separated from it's other component 'stars' by millions or billions of light years.



We can only hope that our governments are populated with only a small number of scatterbrained people who believe such crud as astrology.Why do so many people believe in zodiac signs?
Cause usually the zodiac signs predictions are true.
