Christians, how do you nit-pick the parts of the bible you choose to believe?

For instance, most christians I know say they don't believe in the creation story, most of them think it was a "metaphor".

Christians, how do you choose which parts of the bible aren't literally true, and which parts are?Christians, how do you nit-pick the parts of the bible you choose to believe?
they choose what they like and edit what they dont, like king james 2
We don't.

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Many will come in My name (authority), saying I am Christian.

How do we choose, nit-pick, decide what is literal or a metaphor, check the translation, understand figures of speech, and etc., etc.?

STUDY STUDY STUDYChristians, how do you nit-pick the parts of the bible you choose to believe?
Whatever suits their needs basically. If a particular scripture, when taken literally, does not seem to fit for them, they say it is metaphorical. That's just really how it is.
They do it poorly.

And anyone who points it out to them is taking what they say "out of context".

We aren't of course, they're just not intelligent enough to realize it.Christians, how do you nit-pick the parts of the bible you choose to believe?
I believe all of the Bible. So I do not pick and choose.
