i took in a sprinkler part, they said i must pay a 100% deposit upfront to get the part that THEY said would work with aforementioned part. I paid it. It arrived to pick up the part and it did not fit. they then changed their story and said they cant get the part i need, but they need to hold my deposit to see what restocking fee the manufacturer would charge to me. i am in california, do i have any recourse?Can a store hold my deposit on a special order if they ordered me the wrong part?
ask for it back?
