A gaming computer that can run starcraft 2 on normal settings for $500 under or Tips on how to pick parts.?

Im planing on building a computer so I can play starcraft 2 atleast on normal settings with little or no lag. But the problem is that I never bought a computer part by part so im not sure what parts fit into what case or what video card would fit into what motherboard or if the video card is good enough to acually run the game. So I need some tips on how things work or even better a list of recommend parts.A gaming computer that can run starcraft 2 on normal settings for $500 under or Tips on how to pick parts.?
Copy pasted from one of my previous answers to a different person. It still applies for you:

First thing you'll want to do is do a bit of research. Read some articles and watch some videos. Get the basics down, specifically what does what, and what goes where. Then you go on to the hardest part, which is picking your parts. Budget systems are the hardest to build. You have to fit all the parts into your budget, while still paying attention to compatibility. It's like a puzzle, certain RAM goes with certain motherboards, etc etc. [See the bottom portion for more details]. After that you assemble the computer, which is a breeze. It's kind of hard to screw it up. It's just plugging in wires and putting things in slots. After picking your parts you will have a great idea of where things are to go and how it's to go there.

As for picking the parts, I strongly recommend you use the website http://www.newegg.com/ , It's one of the most trusted hardware retailers on the internet and they're having great holiday deals. Also, there are tons of users who actively review products, which, if read, can greatly help you in making a decision.
