Start up a web site including your resume, a blog relating your experience and credentials and introducing interesting research in your field, and categorized web resources.



Research things for yourself (e.g. perhps the retail outlet that consumers in your town most want to see opened) and report the results.



Ask local companies what they would like to know and research and report the results for free.



Offer your services for free or at low rates to researchers in tertiary education (perhaps a flyer in university professors pigeon holes) on the condition that you can report the results. (I might have some for you!)



Get in touch with research agencies offering to subcontract work.



Offer to subcontract the work of research and data collection to local management consultancies.



Introduce and categories other research organisations on your site/blog (which are likely to be much more expensive) with so many references making it the one stop site for online research, with a link to your request a quotation page on every page of your site.
