If Paul says the Gentiles never had the law, who told them pick parts of it to try an keep?

Romans 2:14

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

So what he is saying: By nature you already know it's wrong to kill, steal, bare false witness etc.?

*But he did say, you don't have the law, then why are doing things like tithing and so forth which was given by the law?

*Don't make excuse to justify anything, you wasn't given the law and you have no business trying to keep it?

Romans 9:3

3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

Now he didn't name any Gentiles, so you have no business with it?If Paul says the Gentiles never had the law, who told them pick parts of it to try an keep?
Those who "think" they are following the OT tithing laws have no clue as to what those laws were.

Leviticus 27:30-33, Numbers 18: The First Tithe - a tenth of crops and animals and commanded to take the tithe to the Levites.

Deuteronomy 14:22-27: The Second Tithe aka The Festival Tithe - a tenth of crops, plus add to that the firstborn animals, and take for the yearly feast.

Deuteronomy 14:28-29: The Third Tithe aka The Three-Year Tithe aka The Poor Tithe - a tenth of crops, kept at home, and invite the Levites, widows, orphans, stranger to eat.

Those are the three tithing laws given by God to the Israelites. Notice all three relate to tithing FOOD from crops (and animals), ASSETS from God's miracles, NOT income from man's labor.

IF you "think" you are following God's tithing laws, do you pay ALL THREE tithes commanded by God? Do you take The Lord's Tithe (Levitical tithe) to the Levites?

Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. Study your Bible for a change. Stop listening to false preachers.

The ONLY people in the Old Testament that were commanded to tithe were those who INHERITED THE PROMISED LAND WITH EVERYTHING ON IT. They got the land, house, animals, crops, etc. ALL FREE AND CLEAR. No mortgage payment or rent to pay. And THEY were commanded to tithe on the crops and animals and take it to the Levites who INHERITED the tithe INSTEAD OF the promised land with everything on it. No one else tithed. Wage earners did not tithe. Jesus did not tithe as a carpenter. Paul did not tithe as a tent maker. Peter did not tithe as a fisherman.

You couldn't pay the Biblical tithe today no matter how hard you try. It is impossible. Furthermore, we are under a BETTER covenant today, with HIGHER standards. The New Testament teaches generous, sacrificial giving, from the heart, according to our means. For some, $1 might be a sacrifice, while for others, even giving 50% of their income might not induce a sacrifice. In the Old Testament, ONLY the farmers tithed, and it was equal percentage (a tenth). The New Testament teaches the principle of equal sacrifice instead of equal percentage. Equal sacrifice is much harder to achieve, if not impossible, than giving ten percent.
There are two sets of commandments one set was for the children of Noah so all people can not steal kill or bear false witness. The other set was given to the children of Israel. That is why the rich young ruler ask which commandments and Jesus listed a version of the commandments of Noah (at the time it was forbidden for Jews to write them down they were oral law).If Paul says the Gentiles never had the law, who told them pick parts of it to try an keep?

Ruth wasn't given the law either but she came to know it and keep it and is a member of King David's family. What say you to that?

You are saying that because we are not the people God gave the law to that we have no business keeping it and I am showing you someone who was not given the law and still kept it and was the great grandmother to King David. So if people who weren't given the law are not allowed to keep it then King David would have never existed because she would have been shunned until she left. You should use your brain before you speak because God gave it to you for that very reason. Your questions do not refute my argument in the least.
As for me personally, I can keep any laws that I believe are good laws to keep and there is nothing you can do about it. You can whine and complain about it all you want but it doesn't change the fact that I have my own beliefs which are not shaped by anything that comes out of your mouth.
the theme of romans is in ch 1 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, [fn] for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. The law was given Israel and the Gentiles also has the law in the form of the consciences. Neither Jew nor Gentile could keep the law thus all were confined to sin. The moral line of God does not move so every motive of every action is thus open before him. The idea of salvation is to now live as Christ lived. The daily failures we have are met with even more grace. At the Jerusalem counsel they determined the Gentiles should only abstain form meat strangled or with the blood and fornication. This deal is held up as Jesus in REv holds this standard over one of the churches. A saved person is not under a law but under grace. Sure the list of sins is the same but our righteousness comes from Christ not performing the law.
