Because me and my mates are over there and so if we see a pick pocket trying to steal our money would it be a good idea to chase them and beat them or will it be best to leave them incase they work as a gang.Do pick pockets work by themselves or are they part of a gang?
They can work alone or in teams. One member provides a diversion, such as a bump or a scene, and the other lifts the goods.



You might reconsider your plan. Assault and battery is viewed as a more serious crime. Most likely the pickpocket will prosecute, and may not even be charged with being a pickpocket.
Sometimes you see a couple of fine chicks trying to flirt with you and what they are doing is trying to get your attention to distract you and put their hands in your pockets without you noticing, and before you know it they already have your wallet in their hands.

Pretty often they work with pairs where the artist picks your pocket and passes off the wallet to a bag man. Then in the off chance the pickpocket is caught he does not have your wallet.
