Astrology is a magical divination belief based on observation of heavenly bodies, that doesn't of course work. But it's probably the precursor of Astronomy.
The Bible seems to have contradictory views on Astrology. Two examples, one castigating astrologers and the other making them key to the news of Jesus' birth, are:
Isaiah 47:13-14 "Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognostigators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it."
Matthew 2:1-2 "...there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."
The irony of this coming from someone who believes in the bible...

Why do people believe in zodiac signs?The generalization of several of them are quite interestingly similar to those born under the sign...but I think it stops there, and I agree it's utter foolishness to live by them!
Question for you...if you've noticed, "Pastor Art" has been cloned by an Atheist and renamed "Pastor Fart" and used to his own detriment. I was wondering if you've noticed this has happened with your photo as well...it appears without your name and is extremely obnoxious and against everything else you appear to be when accompanied by your name. As with any other spiritual system, there are those who put TOO MUCH credence into it. The same can be said for christian fundamentalists, the taliban, or any other group that tries to make the claim of sole dispenser of blessings and knowledge.
In each case, they are meant to be guidelines, offering suggestions by which to lead a better life. No one faith has all the answers for everybody, we each must find the one which best matches our spiritual needs. Even those who choose atheism do so because it suits them. This is why it is impossible for any one faith to satisfy all people. this is why there is no "one, true faith".Why do people believe in zodiac signs?

Many people sacrificed their children to these gods. Nimrod is thought by many to have been killed by Shem (Noah’s son), because of his occult practices and rituals. After his death his body was cut up in many pieces and sent to various parts of his kingdom as depicted in (Judges 19:29/1Sam 11:7).

People grasp this sort of thing because they want to feel a part of the universe. It seems that they can't see the forest for the trees....

They want to see the future an attempt to find some comfort for their lives. I also think it's very silly. It's funny how some people believe that and refuse to believe in God!
